Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Rooms
ByAdmin
MRI machines use superconducting magnets to generate images of organs in the body for medical diagnostics. Compressed gases and cryogenic liquids (usually nitrogen, helium, or carbon dioxide) are used to cool these superconducting magnets. If any of these coolants leak, it will displace Oxygen (O2) in the room leading to potential, and possibly fatal, oxygen deficiency.
