Four-Channel Gas Detection System for Ammonia (NH3) Refrigeration applications
In Cold Storage or Frozen environment, small ammonia leak can cause health hazardeous and can be harmful to human in serious level.
Detecting ammonia at early stage is a safety concern in cold storage or freezer room and a must have detector in the area. Tasatec introduce an economical solution – breakthrough configuration from an old design system where only analog signal is provided to the factory brain.
A wall mount, field programmable, 4-channel central control panel with back-lit, LCD digital display, LED alarm indication, and door mounted 85 dB audible alarms with silence / acknowledge button integrated into the Lexan label all housed in a rugged, water/dust tight IP54 rated polycarbonate/ABS enclosure with secured, hinged door. The controller shall have a display of all four gas sensors, concentration, and alarm status. Controller shall be capable of supporting up to 4 analog sensor/transmitters. Controller shall provide two optional analog outputs plus data logging function and support remote analog output modules if more outputs are required. Controller shall provide three programmable relays and support additional remote relay modules if additional relays are required (four only 5 A @ 240VAC SPDT relays per module). Controller analog wiring shall be 3-conductor, 16-18 gauge, and stranded, shielded. System power requirement is 90 to 240 VAC, 47 to 63 Hz. The controller shall be tested to CSA/UL/CE and FCC standards. The standard Modbus output with optional BACnet output. For the safety should be have detect gas sensor Ammonia in Refrigeration.
System operation shall be as follows:
Upon detection of 25 ppm NH3, the system shall illuminate the Low alarm LED, the Low alarm relay (typically controlling the exhaust fan) will be activated immediately. The system shall
keep the fans running for a minimum of 10 minutes to avoid cycling the fan.
Upon detection of 35 ppm NH3, the system shall illuminate the Mid alarm LED and the Mid alarm relay will be activated, (only if any relay has been assigned as a mid alarm). The system shall keep the Mid relay active for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Upon detection of 50 ppm NH3, the system shall illuminate the High alarm LED, the High alarm relay and door mounted audible alarm will be activated. The system shall keep the High relay active for a minimum of 10 minutes. Audible alarm can be silenced from the integrated push button. Any remote alarm devices shall be activated at this alarm level as well.
