  1. Halogen lamp transmits light onto a rotating holographic grating (prism).
  2. The light is diffracted by the rotating holographic grating into individual NIR wavelengths.

….The NIR signal is sent up into the sample cup…..

  1. The NIR signal interacts with the sample and various wavelengths are absorbed, depending on the composition.
  2. A detector reads the reflected NIR signal and applies a calibration to generate parameter data.
